Basics of Self-experience
School Support Assistance • Additional courses
Self-experience refers to a process that focuses on reflecting on oneself in order to gain insight into the causes of one's own thoughts, feelings and actions in certain situations and to become aware of "blind spots." Self-experience thus enables an objective view of oneself and others and helps with reacting professionally, especially in challenging situations. In the theoretical part of this course, the term self-experience is explained, case examples are described and the benefits of self-experience for school support assistants are highlighted. In the subsequent practical part, four exercises are used to provide motivation and food for thought for practical discussion of the topic.
