Promoting emotion regulation
Early Childhood Support Assistant • Additional courses
In this course, early childhood support assistants learn how they can specifically promote children's emotion regulation in daycare. It shows why dealing with feelings is an essential basis for behavior, self-regulation and participation. At the same time, it teaches how early childhood support assistants can help children cope with emotional overload and develop inner stability. The content combines in-depth knowledge of the development of emotion regulation with practical ideas that help to make feelings visible, put them into words and accompany children sensitively even in challenging moments. Particular focus is placed on an emotionally sensitive daycare routine characterized by clear structures, security and diverse opportunities for expression. The aim of the course is to strengthen early childhood support assistants in their role, expand their scope of action and sustainably anchor an empathetic, resource-oriented attitude in their work with children and families.
