Professional communication with parents
Early Childhood Support Assistant • Additional courses
In this course, early childhood support assistants learn how to communicate professionally with parents in a daycare setting. The course highlights why this communication plays a key role in building trust, cooperation and successful inclusion. At the same time, it shows early childhood support assistants how to take parents seriously as experts on their children while clearly and confidently fulfilling their own role. The content combines fundamental attitudes, such as appreciation, empathy and equality, with practical tools for preparation, conversation and self-care. A particular focus is placed on dealing with challenging situations in communicating with parents such as differing expectations, language barriers, strong emotions, children with disabilities or special needs and child protection issues. The aim of this course is to strengthen early childhood support assistants in their communication skills, give them confidence in their actions and promote long-term, partnership-based cooperation with parents.
