This course teaches the central principles of communication and their importance in everyday school life. The first part of the course deals with the basic principles of communication with a particular focus on Schulz von Thun's four-sided model for analyzing communication processes. The second part deals with how conflicts arise, what effects they have in everyday school life and what strategies contribute to overcoming them. As part of this, non-violent communication (NVC) according to Marshall B. Rosenberg is presented as a practical model that helps to avoid misunderstandings and resolve conflicts constructively.
