In contrast to the conventional model, in the pooled school support model, the school support assistant is responsible for the needs of several children or young people. This course begins with a theoretical explanation of the options for implementing the pooled school support model, the advantages and disadvantages of the pooled school support model and the requirements that must be met. The subsequent practical section describes what school support staff need to bear in mind when successfully implementing the pooled school support model in practice.
