We are looking for dedicated school companions who provide individual support and guidance to children and young people with physical, intellectual, or emotional impairments in their school everyday life.
Completed training in education, social work, or care (e.g., educator, therapeutic educator, social pedagogue) or comparable qualification
Experience working with children and adolescents with special educational needs is an advantage
Empathy, patience, and understanding for the individual needs of students
Reliability and sense of responsibility
Teamwork and good communication skills
Willingness to participate in school trips and school events
Individual support and assistance for students with special educational needs during lessons
Assistance during lessons, such as support during sports and swimming classes
Support in the use of work materials and disability-specific aids
Orientation and structure assistance to facilitate school life
Assistance during breaks: help with eating, dressing and undressing, and support with break activities
Promotion of social integration into the class community
Accompaniment on school trips and other school activities
Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists
Documentation of developmental progress and participation in support plan meetings
