School Companion / Integration Assistant (m/f/d)
We are looking for committed school companions who provide individual support and guidance to children and young people with physical, intellectual, or emotional impairments in their school everyday life.
Job Description
Your Profile
- Completed training in education, social work, or care (e.g., educator, therapeutic educator, social pedagogue) or comparable qualification
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs is an advantage
- Empathy, patience, and understanding for the individual needs of students
- Reliability and sense of responsibility
- Teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Willingness to participate in school trips and school events
Your Tasks
- Individual support and assistance for students with special educational needs during lessons
- Assistance during lessons, such as support in sports and swimming classes
- Support in the use of teaching materials and disability-specific aids
- Orientation and structure support to facilitate school everyday life
- Assistance during breaks: help with eating, dressing and undressing, and support with break activities
- Promotion of social integration into the class community
- Accompaniment on school trips and other school activities
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Documentation of developmental progress and participation in support plan meetings
